SHCA Annual General Meeting & Positions Available

The Silverwood Heights Community Association Annual General Meeting is coming up quickly. Although we have a fantastic core group of volunteers that currently serve our community, it is imperative that we recruit volunteers to bring fresh, new ideas to the table and invigorate our community with new energy.

If you currently use the Community Association services, please consider investing time to help out. Besides the benefit of being informed about your community, all SHCA Directors get participation fees waived for one program each session.

We have positions to suit any amount of free time you have available to donate; from the more time-intensive President’s role, to a less time-intense school representative role. Are you looking at honing your skills in Adobe Illustrator (CS5) or do you have Illustrator experience and want to help out your community? Help us by volunteering for the Newsletter Assistant. If you are limited in the time that you have available, perhaps sharing a position between yourself and a friend (or a group of you) would work. Not certain that you want to take on the responsibility of a Director, but would love to lend a hand in a certain area, please let us know!

If you have a certain skill set but you aren’t certain which position would be suited to this, ask and we can provide you with more information! Volunteering is a fantastic way to improve your community and truly make a difference in a lot of ways. Volunteering is not only personally satisfying but really improves your resume! Skills you develop along the way will almost always help you out in the future as well. Please note that training is available for every role in our Association. Without volunteers, programs won’t run!
