Saskatoon luminaries gather for Canada 150 Conference Series on May 1, 2013
YOU’RE INVITED to a kickoff event on Wednesday, May 1 in Saskatoon!
CBC/Radio-Canada, in partnership with Community Foundations of Canada (CFC) and VIA Rail Canada, is sparking the national conversation about Canada’s upcoming 150th anniversary of Confederation with the CANADA 150/2017 STARTS NOW conference series, in collaboration with other local and national organizations.
CANADA 150/2017 STARTS NOW is a series of regional conferences taking place across the country from April to June 2013. Developed to inform and inspire, CANADA 150/2017 STARTS NOW will ignite local, regional and national conversations around what 2017 means, and how we should celebrate Canada’s upcoming 150th anniversary of Confederation. The conferences will be held in both official languages and will bring together citizens and leaders from communities across every region of the country, representing every demographic of our diverse society.
We’re eager to get as many thinkers and doers involved in the discussion as possible. The event will feature TED-style speakers in the morning and roll-up-your-sleeves roundtable discussions in the afternoon.
The full event details are in the attached invitations so please come out and join the dialogue. Please let other leaders and champions like yourself know about the CANADA 150/2017 STARTS NOW taking place in Saskatoon next week.
