Jane's Walk - Meet Your City

Jane’s Walk is a weekend of walks around the city in commemoration of the legendary ideas of urbanist, Jane Jacobs. Jacobs championed a fresh, community-based approach to city building. She believed in the importance of local residents having input on how their neighbourhoods develop. Jane’s Walks create opportunities for residents to get out and ‘Meet Your City’ and talk about what matters to them in the places they live and work. Our committee is busy organizing this year’s event which will be May 1st - 4th and this is where you come in. If you would like to showcase your neighbourhood by leading a walk we would be very interested in hearing from you. Information about leading a walk is available on our blog @ http://saskatoonjaneswalk.blogspot.ca/. We are very open to suggestions so please feel free to get creative! If you have any ideas please email me back as soon as possible as we need to have our walks finalized by March 15th.

Even if you do not end up leading a walk in your neighbourhood we hope that you will include our updates in your newsletters and website.

Thanks for your time and I look forward to our partnership!

Kind regards,

Lisa Karkut Jane’s Walk Committee
