SHCA Fall "Try-It" Classes and December Dance/Fitness class registration now on!

Fall "Try-It" Classes and December Fitness and Dance Fitness classes are now open again for registration!  Limited registration available so please register soon!  Go to and sign up now! 

For those of you that are new to SHCA programs, fall “try-it” classes are a great way for you to try a new class that we will be offering for the upcoming session (ie. Winter – January through to March). Pilates Barre and Insanity® are new classes we are featuring that we will offer for the winter session.

December Fitness classes are a combination of 10 fitness classes that we offer through each season  - Butts and Guts, Total Body Sculpt, Boot Camp and TRX Combo Boot Camp.  These 10 classes are held from the beginning to the third week of December.  This fitness option will take you through the busy month of December and give you a much needed stress release!

Our Winter registration for classes January through to the end of March doesn’t take place until the beginning of January 2015.  Please note that for the Winter SHCA schedule and registration information, we only will offer this online - NO PRINTED NEWSLETTER WILL BE SENT OUT!  Remember, if you haven't already signed up for instant updates on the website, do so now!  Sign up at  By doing so, you will be notified by email when registration information is out and schedules are posted.

Piloxing combines the two extremes of inter-disciplinary – The powerful feeling of BOXING - throwing solid punches, then transforming your body movement into PILATES, and feeling like a dance.  Piloxing uniquely mixes Pilates and Boxing moves into a calorie-blasting, muscle-toning and core centric interval workout.  Equipment will be supplied (1/2 pound gloves/weights to tone arms).  Please wear bare feet or if you choose to wear shoes wear flat-bottomed shoes that have a flexible forefoot with some sort of traction.  Most importantly always listen to your body, and only do what feels right for you.

Pilates Barre Try-it Class (16+) $5 (Rose Palidwor)

Barre is a comprehensive well-rounded workout that is low-impact, yet variable intensity, using 1/2 pound piloxing gloves from start to end of class. This new Barre program creates full body awareness utilizing a Ballet Barre for the entirety of the workout, both standing and grounded. Barre is a class that is easy on your joints, but hard on your muscles. Think of the barre not just as another tool, but as an external support to initiate more muscle engagement.
