Girls In Motion Event Get inspired to become a healthier and happier you at Girls In Motion...where sports and physical activity are about More than Gold! It’s a day for girls 10 to 14 to experience Olympic sports under the direction of qualified instructors.  Plus, girls will enjoy guest presentations and meet some elite Saskatchewan female athletes.

Girls In Motion: More than Gold is a registered free one day program, offered by the City of Saskatoon, that gives girls the opportunity to “see and try” a variety of sport and physical activities.  Participants will spend the day learning fencing, football, table tennis, boxing, goalball, and more.  The program aims to create awareness for youth sport, recreation and leisure opportunities available in the Saskatoon Community.

Girls in motion will take place November 12, 2012 at Prairieland Park.  Registration will begin at 7:45 am with activities starting at 8:45 am.  Lunch and a snack will be provided for the participants.  For more information, please visit www.saskatoon.ca/go/teens.

Capture and Click – Photo Scavenger Hunt

Teams of 2 – 6 people (in grades 7 – 10) will compete in a mobile photo scavenger hunt in Saskatoon’s parks and pathways.  Discovering new “old” places, taking on some crazy challenges and snapping some insane pictures to earn points.  The team completing the most points wins.

This event takes place on November 3, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. (Teams must pre-register by Thursday, Nov 1). Scavenger hunt challenge lists will be emailed just prior to the event start on November 3, 2012. Each team will need is required to submit a photo showing the completion of the task.
