New initiative from Saskatoon Police

We have been asked by one of the Community Liaison Officers with the Saskatoon Police to share some information on a new initiative.  It is called the #getmybikeback awareness initiative.  This  program encourages people to take a photo of the serial number on their bicycles so that in the event it is ever stolen or lost, folks can provide that serial number to police which increases the likelihood of having their bikes returned to them if they’re located.

The Saskatoon Police would also like to include a friendly reminder to everyone to lock up their bike or keep them inside.   The police have been experiencing an increase in bike thefts throughout our city and it’s important for everyone to ensure their homes, sheds and garages are locked and secure to keep their belongings safe.

A brochure is attached with more information.
